Hair gel: which one to choose

Hair gel is the tool for a firmer, shinier finish: it sets on the hair and holds the shape until you wash it out. The choice comes down to one question — how much hold you need — and the grade in the product name (Strong, Ultra Strong, Mega Strong) tells you exactly that.

What gel does, and what it does not

Hair gel goes on damp and sets as it dries, locking the shape in place. That is what makes the result firmer and shinier than wax.

The hold grades

AGIVA gels carry the grade in the name, so you can read the strength off the label:

Strong — everyday hold, a more natural finish.
Ultra Strong — firmer hold, shape lasts longer.
Mega Strong — the strongest grade in the range, for spikes and sharply defined styles.
Gum — a more flexible, gum-textured version.

Gels come in 200 ml and 700 ml. The small bottle is for trying one out and for travel; the large one is for daily users and salons.

How to apply it

Damp or towel-dried hair is the easiest to work with. Take a small amount, spread it across your palms, and work from the roots outwards.
